I initiated and led the creation of a maker space and photo studio, open to all Wunderman Thompson employees. It’s been integral to award-winning projects, exercises in design thinking, and scrappy in-house productions. The resource is run like a co-op, managed by the people who use it, and has all the basics to make an idea real; a laser cutter, vacuum former, IOT kits, 3D printer, and photo equipment. To increase adoption I’ve been teaching workshops in all of the above, and we set up a website, knowledgebase, and Microsoft Teams community. It’s been almost too much fun, and definitely too much work, and I’m incredibly grateful to everybody who’s helped make this happen.
